A crisis is exploding across America as the cost of in-home care for older adults is skyrocketing -- up 10% just this year!! That's more than three times the rate of inflation. This is only set to get worse as the population ages and young people are outnumbered by the old. The Trump immigration crackdown has exacerbated the crisis this year and it's become harder and harder to find people to do this work, and costs are spiking. There are all kinds of sad implications. More folks will wind up institutionalized, which isn't what most people want, can worsen health outcomes and, ironically, is more costly.
