🚗 🤖 As robotaxis gain ground in cities like San Francisco, LA and Phoenix, some are wondering: What will happen to ride-hailing drivers? Automation is reshaping industries — from manufacturing floors to retail checkouts — and transportation is no exception. But just like cashiers and factory workers, Uber and Lyft drivers aren’t disappearing anytime soon, Axios' Joann Muller reports. According to Gridwise Analytics, robotaxis have not significantly impacted ride-hailing drivers so far. “Drivers are still working at the same pace, getting the same incentives, and taking as many trips as before,” co-founder and CEO Ryan Green tells Axios.
