FAQs

Currently, if you're an existing customer, you can apply for a product purchase loan, known as Salmon Financing, in various stores across the Philippines. Additionally, other products such as Salmon Credit and Cash Loan are selectively offered to current clients.

To get a product purchase loan, find a store that is a Salmon partner. In the store, locate a Salmon Ambassador who will tell you about the terms, advise on what products you can buy on credit, help you fill out an application, and obtain the loan.

You may chat with Salmon Customer Service via our In-App Chat to know the nearest partner store in your area. To do so, first open the Salmon app, tap Help, and then, tap Customer Service.

To be eligible for a loan, you must be a Filipino citizen aged 18 or above with a stable income, whether from employment, self-employment, business, or remittances. You need at least one valid ID from the list, an iOS or Android phone, and a mobile number and email that only you use and own.

Before visiting the store, make sure to check all the requirements to avail a loan.

If you're a new Salmon client, you have the exclusive opportunity to apply for Salmon Credit directly within the app.

 

Here are the IDs you can submit for your loan application:
  • Unified Multi-Purpose Identification (UMID) Card
  • Driver’s License
  • Voter’s ID
  • PhilSys ID (Philippine Identification System ID)
  • Social Security System (SSS) Card
  • Philippine passport
  • PRC ID (Professional Regulation Commission ID)
  • Postal ID

For online loan applications
PRC and Voter’s IDs are not accepted. Also, we only accept the plastic card PhilSys ID, not the digital version.

Log in to the Salmon app using the mobile phone number you provided during registration. Once logged in, select the loan product you wish to repay from the options available on the Home screen.


After reviewing your payment due dates and amount dues, tap "Go to payment" and choose a payment method. You have four (4) repayment options:

 

  • QR Ph: The fastest way to repay. Just generate a QR code in the Salmon app and upload it to any e-wallet or bank to repay. No need to manually log in with your OTP.
  • E-wallets (GCash and Maya): The Salmon app redirects to your e-wallet of choice, where you can repay your loan.
  • Over-the-counter services (7-Eleven, Cebuana Lhuillier, and SM Bills Payments): To use these services, get your payment details from the app and go to one of the branches of these over-the-counter services to repay your loan.
  • Online banking (UnionBank, RCBC, BDO, and BPI): The Salmon app redirects you to your bank of choice, where you can repay your loan.

 

You can conveniently repay your Salmon financial products without using the Salmon app, with no fee through e-wallets, bank apps, physical shops, or self-service kiosks.
Payments are posted in real time, with confirmation via SMS or push notification.
 

Make sure to provide the 11-digit mobile number linked to your Salmon account in the following format: 09*********.
