Crayton purchased his ticket at Chef Chevron on Chef Menteur Highway.
After tax withholdings, he took home $1,435,000.
“When I found out we had sold the winning ticket, I told all of my regulars to check their tickets to see if they were the big winner,” said Jonathan Nguyen, one of the store managers.
Chef Chevron received a $20,000 selling bonus.
