Netflix’s biggest reality competition series is about to get even bigger: Squid Game: The Challenge is returning on Nov. 4, 2025.
In Season 2 of the gripping game show inspired by the original scripted series, 456 brand-new contestants will enter the ultimate test of strategy, alliances, and endurance as they compete for a life-changing $4.56 million prize. The new season raises the stakes higher than ever with shocking twists and never-before-played games. As players face elimination at every turn, only one can emerge victorious.

Netflix first announced that the competition series would return on the heels of the Season 1 finale, where one player beat out 455 others to take home the massive prize pot. “There was no red light in our decision to green light Season 2 of Squid Game: The Challenge, the most ambitious unscripted show we’ve premiered at Netflix,” Brandon Riegg, Netflix VP of Nonfiction Series, said at the time. “We’re so excited to continue the franchise of Squid Game with our team in Korea, and producers at Studio Lambert and The Garden for this epic competition series.”
With Season 2 right around the corner, production is also already gearing up for another season. Recruitment for Squid Game: The Challenge Season 3 is open, and all those interested in stepping into the dormitory can apply now.
While you wait for Squid Game: The Challenge’s November return, there are plenty of other ways to stay in the universe. In addition to streaming all three seasons of the scripted series, fans can immerse themselves in Netflix’s latest adventure, Squid Game: The Experience, open now in New York, London, and Sydney.
