Icon Architectural Group designed the 3,500-seat facility. It says it has not been paid for any of its work. The company is suing to get $1.1 million from the mall and others involved in the stadium.The project broke ground in May 2022, but stalled because of rising construction costs.Merle Hay Mall and the Buccaneers would not comment on the suit. The team says it is committed to opening up a new facility in Des Moines.
