Bar Crenn is proud to be the only restaurant in the world serving UPSIDE Foods’ cultivated chicken. In 2018, because of the impact of factory farming on animals and the planet, we made the decision to take meat off our menu. Years later, we are thrilled to bring meat back to our menu with a partner that shares our values and ingredient standards. We've partnered with UPSIDE Foods- the world leader in cultivated meat- who makes chicken directly form real animal cells, without the need to raise billions of animals. 

In this exclusive monthly event, UPSIDE’s chicken will be featured in our a la carte menu. The UPSIDE dish features UPSIDE Chicken coated in a recedo negro tempura batter, drizzled with burnt chili aioli, and garnished with edible flowers. Our a la carte menu lends itself to our unique wine, spirits, and cocktails selection. The restaurant’s design, modeled after a Japanese listening bar, is intended to inspire conversation, engagement and community.
