CAREER NOTABLES
One of the top running backs in program history as a three-time All-Big 12 performer … closed his career with 2,664 rushing yards and 40 touchdowns off 540 carries for his career … averaged 53.3 yards per game on the ground as well as 4.9 yards per carry over his career … multi-dimensional back that was able to contribute in the passing game with 91 receptions for 520 receiving yards and a touchdown … had 41 total touchdowns in his career, which ranked among the all-time leaders … IN THE TEXAS TECH CAREER RECORD BOOK: ended his career ranked third all-time in program history with 40 career rushing touchdowns … trailed only the 52 rushing touchdowns from James Gray (1986-89) and the 50 from Taurean Henderson (2002-05) … finished tied with Michael Crabtree (2007-08) for fourth in career total touchdowns as well as seventh on the career scoring chart with 246 points …  was also seventh all-time with 540 career rushing attempts and then eighth for career rushing attempts … passed the likes of Larry Isaac (1973-76), Baron Batch (2006, 2008-10) and Ring of Honor member Donny Anderson (1963-65) during senior season on the career rushing list.

2021 SEASON (JUNIOR)
Put together another strong season as part of a two-back system with Tahj Brooks … appeared in 11 games overall with six starts … missed the first two games of the year due to recovery from an injury suffered the previous spring … still managed to rush for 500 yards and 10 touchdowns on 107 carries, averaging 45.5 yards per game and 4.7 yards per attempt … led the team in attempts and rushing touchdowns and ranked second for total rushing yards and rushing yards per game … hauled in six passes out of the backfield, resulting in 113 yards … effective in the passing game, averaging 18.8 yards per reception which ranked second on the team behind only Loic Fouonji’s 21.0 clip (eight receptions) … each of his six catches came during Big 12 play as did all but four of his carries on the ground … hit the 80 rushing mark three times overall and had one 100-yard performance … now has five 100-yard rushing games for his career … posted 17 carries that went at least 10 yards, 11 that went 20 or more yards and one that resulted in at least a 30-yard gain … IN NCAA RANKINGS: ended the year ranked 57th nationally in rushing touchdowns … IN BIG 12 RANKINGS: closed the season eighth in the league for rushing touchdowns, 10th in total touchdowns, 13th in rushing yards per game and 14th in total rushing yards … also 10th in the league for rushes of at least 10 yards (17) and tied for 11th for carries of 20 or more yards (11) … SEASON HIGHLIGHTS: made season debut in the non-conference finale against Florida International (9/18), carrying four times for 11 yards and a touchdown … broke a 14-14 tie in the second quarter via a one-yard touchdown carry with 9:38 remaining … limited in his season opener after Texas Tech took a 35-14 lead into halftime … production immediately picked up the next week at Texas (9/25) in the Big 12 opener with 16 carries for 54 yards … marked his second-highest total for carries on the season … followed with 12 carries for 48 yards and a pair of touchdowns in the win at West Virginia (10/2) … had both of Texas Tech’s touchdowns against the Mountaineers, sneaking into the end zone from one yard out with 4:51 remaining in first quarter and again with only eight seconds left in the frame … exploded for one of his best games of his career against TCU (10/9) after carrying 18 times for 118 yards and a career-high three touchdowns, while also catching two passes for 79 yards … his 197 all-purpose yards marked a new career high … became the first Red Raider to rush for three or more touchdowns since Ta’Zhawn Henry found the end zone four times in a 2018 victory over Houston … flipped the field midway through the third quarter with a 75-yard reception, the longest of his career … completion moved the Red Raiders all the way from their own 10 yard line to the TCU 10, setting up an eventual Xavier White touchdown run … strung together another big outing the next week in the win at Kansas (10/16) with 13 attempts for 83 yards … limited to only 19 yards on 10 carries and then one reception for 21 yards versus Kansas State with two of those rushing attempts resulting in touchdowns … scored from one yard and four yards out in the first half against the Wildcats … split duties over final four games of the regular season, finishing with five carries for 13 yards at Oklahoma (10/30), nine attempts for 45 yards and a touchdown versus Iowa State (11/13), five carries for 12 yards against Oklahoma State (11/20) and then one attempt for 17 yards at Baylor (11/27) … touchdown versus the Cyclones came on a 13-yard scamper with 10:51 remaining in the game, giving the Red Raiders a 38-28 lead at the time … one of the main catalysts in Texas Tech’s victory over Mississippi State (12/28) in the AutoZone Liberty Bowl thanks to 14 carries for 80 yards and a touchdown … had the Red Raiders’ final touchdown of the bowl win with a one-yard carry with 8:47 remaining ... 2020 SEAS0N (SOPHOMORE)
Once again led the Red Raiders in rushing yards as a sophomore … elected to the captains circle for a second-consecutive season as one of five sophomores selected ... started in all 10 games at running back … pushed his starting streak to 17-consecutive games entering the 2021 season … became the first Red Raider to lead the team in rushing yards in back-to-back seasons since DeAndre Washington did so during the 2014-15 campaigns … the first Red Raider underclassman to do so since Taurean Henderson was the team leader over four-straight seasons from 2002-05 … joins Henderson, Ricky Williams (1997-98), Byron Hanspard (1994-95), Byron Morris (1991-92) and James Gray (1986-87) as the only Red Raiders since 1970 to lead the team in rushing as a freshman and sophomore … closed the year with 610 rushing yards and eight touchdowns on the ground on 109 attempts … added 21 receptions for 124 yards through the air as well … finished with 734 all-purpose yards, which ranked second on the team … was the team leader not only in rushing yards but also for scoring (48 points), carries, total touchdowns and rushing yards per game (61.0) … received at least 10 carries in five games and eclipsed 60 or more rushing yards in five games as well … posted three 100-yard performances, giving him four for his career … had two multi-touchdown games via the running game, pushing his career total to eight … shared the team high with four carries of 20 yards or longer and posted two rushes of at least 50 yards … participated on special teams as well as a member of punt coverage ... IN NCAA RANKINGS: closed the year ranked 41st nationally in rushing touchdowns, 43rd in rushing yards per carry (5.6), 69th in total touchdowns and 71st in total rushing yards … IN BIG 12 RANKINGS: ranked second in the conference for rushing yards per carry, fourth in rushing touchdowns, fifth in rushing yards per game and seventh for both total rushing yards and total touchdowns … SEASON HIGHLIGHTS: began the season with 22 carries and 118 rushing yards and two touchdowns in the win over Houston Baptist (9/12) … marked a season high for carries and the fourth time in his career to receive 20 or more carries in a game … was the second 100-yard rushing performance of his career at the time … marked the second-straight year to find the end zone twice in a season opener … carried 16 times for 104 yards and two more touchdowns in the Big 12 opener versus Texas (9/26) … performance featured a 75-yard touchdown scamper late in the fourth quarter that pushed him over the 100-yard mark and marked the longest run from scrimmage of his career … was the longest rush by a Red Raider all season and the longest since Justin Stockton went 84 yards versus Houston in 2017 … became the first Red Raider to rush for 100 yards in the first two games of a season since Ricky Williams in 1998 … was the first Red Raider to rush for two touchdowns in the first two games of a season since Shannon Woods in 2008 … Xavier White eclipsed the 100-yard mark the following week at Kansas State, marking first time during Big 12 era for Texas Tech to have two different players combine for three 100-yard games to start a season … finished with 12 carries for 46 yards of his own at Kansas State (10/3) … caught three passes in each of the first three games, combining for 42 receiving yards … was on the receiving end of a season-high four receptions for 29 yards the next week at Iowa State (10/10) to go along with six carries for 14 yards … broke free on a 48-yard touchdown run in the win over West Virginia (10/24) that was part of eight carries for 68 yards … touchdown gave the Red Raiders a 13-7 lead late in the first quarter … limited the next two weeks with only four carries against both Oklahoma (10/31) and at TCU (11/7), resulting in 28 yards and a score versus the Sooners and 13 yards against the Horned Frogs … provided the game-opening touchdown against Oklahoma on a five-yard run to cap Texas Tech’s opening drive … returned to double digits for carries the next two games, beginning with 13 carries for 69 yards in the win over Baylor (11/14) … biggest play versus the Bears came via the air, however, as Alan Bowman found him in the flat for a 30-yard gain, the longest of his career … reception pushed the Red Raiders into Baylor territory, setting up the eventual game-winning field goal by Jonathan Garibay … put together possibly his best game of the season two weeks later at Oklahoma State (11/28), rushing 17 times for 133 yard and a pair of scores … both touchdowns came in the first half, first on a 59-yard scamper midway through the first quarter to break a scoreless tie and then a 24-yard run in the second quarter to tie the game back at 14-14 … marked a season high for rushing yards and was two yards shy of the highest total by a Red Raider on the season set by Xavier White in the finale versus Kansas … closed the year with seven carries of his own for 17 yards in the win over the Jayhawks (12/5) … AWARDS AND HONORS: recognized as an honorable mention All-Big 12 selection by the conference coaches for a second-consecutive season … was a fourth team All-Big 12 pick by Phil Steele Magazine … tabbed to the watch lists for both the Doak Walker Award and the Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award.

2019 SEASON (REDSHIRT FRESHMAN)
Led the Red Raiders in rushing as only a redshirt freshman … one of three redshirt freshmen elected to the captains circle ... appeared in all 12 games, while making seven starts at running back … became only the eighth Red Raider to lead the team in rushing as a freshman, joining the likes of James Gray (1986), Byron “Bam” Morris (1991), Byron Hanspard (1994), Ricky Williams (1997), Shaud Williams (1999), Taurean Henderson (2002) and Da’Leon Ward (2016) … totaled 765 yards and 12 touchdowns on the ground on 160 carries, averaging 63.8 yards per game … had twice as many carries as any other Red Raider … bulk of carries and yardage came during Big 12 play where he was one of the league’s top running backs … led the team in rushing in eight different games … added 39 catches for 154 yards through the air, ranking fourth on the team in receptions … praised late in the year for the heavy workload after injuries plagued the running back room … received at least 10 carries in eight games overall, all in conference play … rushed for at least 80 yards five times on the year with one 100-yard game … also picked up a pair of tackles on special teams … IN NCAA RANKINGS: ended the year ranked 27th in the FBS for rushing touchdowns (12) and 47th in total touchdowns (12) … IN BIG 12 RANKINGS: ranked third in the league for rushing touchdowns and fourth for total touchdowns and scoring per game (6.0) … also ranked eighth for total rushing yards (765), ninth in rushing yards per carry (4.8) and rushing yards per game (63.8) as well as 12th in total points scored (72) and 14th in all-purpose yards per game (76.6) … in conference play, ranked fifth in scoring per game (6.0), sixth in rushing yards per game (74.6) and 10th in all-purpose yards per game (86.1) … SEASON HIGHLIGHTS: opened the season with eight carries for 29 yards and a pair of touchdowns versus Montana State (9/31) … also caught four passes for a career-high 43 yards in the win … two touchdowns both came in the first half from 1 and 3 yards out … received eight carries again the next week in the win over UTEP (9/7), finishing with 45 yards … added seven carries for 20 yards and a touchdown in the non-conference finale at Arizona (9/14) … neared the 100-yard mark in the Big 12 opener at Oklahoma (9/28) before finishing with 96 yards on 13 carries … performance included a 58-yard scamper early in the second quarter that led to a Trey Wolff field goal … marked his longest rush from scrimmage of his career … called on for 12 carries for 69 yards the next week in a top-25 victory over Oklahoma State (10/5) … was a complete workhorse the next week at Baylor (10/12) with a career-high 28 carries for 153 yards and two touchdowns … marked the first 100-yard game of his career … was also the second of four multi-touchdown contests on the season … marked the most rushing yards by a Red Raider since Justin Stockton rushed for 161 at Kansas in 2017 … two touchdowns came in the second half as he found the end zone from 4 yards out early in the third quarter and then on a 30-yard scamper to give the Red Raiders a 20-17 lead with less than two minutes remaining … touched the ball a total of 33 times in the double overtime loss after also catching five passes for 24 yards … found the end zone twice again the following week as part of 10 carries for 57 yards against Iowa State (10/19) … counted on again at Kansas (10/26) with 20 carries for 80 yards and a touchdown … sneaked into the end zone from 1 yard out for Texas Tech’s first touchdown of the night against the Jayhawks … limited to only 27 yards on 11 carries in the win at West Virginia (11/9) … two of those carries resulted in touchdowns, though, in the second quarter … missed the second half of the win following an injury against the Mountaineers … injury caused him to be limited again the next week versus TCU (11/16) with only six attempts for 19 yards and three catches for 11 yards … returned to his normal form in the home finale against Kansas State (11/23) with 21 carries for 84 yards and a touchdown … scored the Red Raiders’ first touchdown of the day on a 5-yard scamper midway through the second quarter … also caught a career-high seven passes for 28 yards versus the Wildcats … actually played in every offensive snap in that game due to injuries at the running back position ... closed the season with 16 carries for 86 yards and a touchdown at Texas (11/29) … went around the right side to find the end zone from 10 yards out to give the Red Raiders an early 14-0 lead … was the final game of five contests with at least 80 yards on the ground … AWARDS AND HONORS: honorable mention All-Big 12 selection by the conference coaches. 

2018 SEASON (FRESHMAN)
Redshirt season … appeared in four games early in the season … traveled with the team for remainder of the season but was withheld from action in order to preserve redshirt … totaled 105 yards and three touchdowns on the ground off 25 carries … averaged 4.2 yards per carry … also caught two passes for 10 yards out of the backfield … SEASON HIGHLIGHTS: made his career debut against Lamar (9/8), rushing for 39 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries … part of a school-record eight rushing touchdowns in the rout … found the end zone via an eight-yard scamper early in the second quarter and then again via a 21-yard run in the fourth … his final touchdown marked his longest rushing attempt on the season … saw playing time again the following week against Houston (9/15), carrying four times while also catching one pass for a season-long 12 yards … best game on the ground came in the Big 12 opener at Oklahoma State (9/22) … recorded season highs with 13 carries for 57 yards … found the end zone versus the Cowboys on a one-yard touchdown run that gave the Red Raiders a 21-17 lead … final appearance came versus West Virginia (9/29) with two carries for eight yards.
